the upcoming year – but I doubt that is possible.
Hello everyone, my name is DeeAnna Lyke and I am
the new President of the SAHA. I have been involved
with the horse industry all of my life and I have
been a director of SAHA for the past four years.
Upon my arrival on the Board I have expressed many
different ideas and I continue to bring forth the
same enthusiasm and dedication that I came in with.
I recognize the importance of the club and it is
my intention to continue to provide our members
with the services they require and explore new
possibilities that will expand our horizons.
several years and we are continuing to grow
and diversify. Our club continues to expand
its areas of interest to better accommodate
the Arabian enthusiasts that we so proudly
call members. With activities ranging from
trail rides, clinics, shows, and public demos
we are giving our members the opportunity to
expand their experiences with their horses
and their friends.
because our Board of Directors is going to be
involved in a pie throwing competition (well maybe),
but because Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan is the proud
host of the 2008 Western Canadian Breeders
Championship Horse Show. This promises to be an
extraordinary event and we would like to thank all
of our contributors in advance for the hard work that
they are putting into this. Make sure you book time
off to be at this show – you won’t want to miss it.
in, or who you talk to, the key to success always seems
to indicated by the rate of growth that is experienced.
If this is the case, I would love to see our club double
its membership this year, but whether this happens or not,
I love the fact that we have such a dedicated group of
people. Although they say there is power in numbers, I
believe it is easier to be heard when there are fewer
voices shouting. So if you have some ideas that you think
the club should investigate, please feel free to bring
them forward. All it takes is an idea and the determination
to see it through and anything becomes possible.
next year, so good luck and we’ll see you down the road!
